Established 2012, Northern Lights Peonies grows fresh cut peonies for the local Fairbanks, Alaska market and ships Nationwide to Florists, Wholesalers and Brides July through August. Extremes in temperatures and light serve to produce amazingly BEAUTIFUL BLOOMS. Vibrant hues in every shade of pink and red clamor for attention. And size ? We grow them BIG, almost as big as Alaska. We only ship AAA and AA blooms which means Every Peony will open and measure from 5'' to 9'' across and will last in your home or event for seven or more days.
Peony Care
Our peonies are stored and shipped "dry" and in bud form. We wrap them up cozy in batting and add a frozen gel pack to the box to keep your peonies cool during their journey from Alaska to your door. To optimize your peony enjoyment - please open your box immediately. Cut stems at an angle at least one inch from the bottom and remove leaves from below the water line. Place cut stems in a clean container in room temperature water. Allow 24 - 36 hours for the buds to open in a room temperature location, or delay the flowers opening by keeping cool in a refrigerator. Change the water daily and keep out of direct sunlight.
